Juniper Island Art Festival 2018
Event Details: This summer the Juniper Island Art Festival (JIAF) will be having its 26th annual exhibition on August 11th – 12th. This is an exhibition and sale of original artwork created in the last two years by the artists of Stony, Upper Stoney or Clear Lakes.
Opening reception – Saturday, August 11th, from 4:00 to 7:00 pm – is one of the social highlights on the lake! Enjoy an array of visual artworks landscapes, florals, portraits, sculpture, mixed media and photography, in the Pavilion. Exhibition continues on Sunday, August 12th, 10:30 am – 4 pm. New for this year is the “Textile Treat” theme, a special exhibit featuring textile as an art media by itself or when it is incorporated in regular art media.
There is no admission fee; however, donations are greatly appreciated as they support the Association of Stony Lake Cottagers which funds many activities and projects on the Lake.
Due to its location and to the popularity of this event, “boat pooling” is highly recommended, as space is limited.
