4 Lucky Paws Animal Rescue, together with Auto Connect Sales Inc., will be hosting a pet adoption event on Saturday, September 24th from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M. at Auto Connect Sales Inc. in Peterborough.
There will be dogs and puppies available for adoption, along with a barbecue to help raise money in support of the rescue.
4 Lucky Paws is a foster-based organization that saves abandoned, homeless, overlooked, and abused dogs. The agency helps all dogs regardless of their age, breed, size, medical needs, level of training, or temperament. Though primarily working with dogs, 4 Lucky Paws aids all pets in need. Animals come into the rescue from a range of places, including kill pounds, owner surrenders, and shelters in Ontario, Georgia, and Texas.
The rescue is driven by volunteers, and relies on the support of fosters, local vets, and trainers. As such, funding comes predominantly from donations, fundraising, and adoption fees. These funds are spent on medical care, food, supplies, and training.
Donations are encouraged to be made at the event, including donations in the form of dog food, toys, and cash donations.
