The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation in conjunction with the Peterborough & Kawarthas Association of Realtors (PKAR) is proud to once again host their annual gift collection program – Santa’s Sleigh. This will be the 30th year of this meaningful program designed to fulfil a Christmas wish for children receiving services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society. With your help last year every child living locally in our community, who requested a gift, received one. This year beginning at noon on Thursday, November 21st until 3 PM on Wednesday, December 11th at Walmart on Chemong Road in Peterborough, we are inviting the community to choose a child’s name and make a purchase in order to fulfill their Christmas wish. This gift will go directly to that child in the community so that we and you, can put a smile on this child’s face on Christmas morning.

About the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation
The Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Foundation provides funding so that children currently receiving protection services from the Kawartha-Haliburton Children’s Aid Society experience enrichment opportunities ranging from belonging to a sports team, to dance, art, and music lessons, and has the means to participate on special school trips. Each year we send hundreds of children to summer camp which gives them the opportunity to meet new friends, learn new skills and give them the confidence to pursue their goals. Every year the Foundation provides a $2,500 bursary per semester to former Crown Wards attending college, university, and trade schools through our Margaret Davies Bursary Fund.
