“Healthy Relationships”

In this workshop Wes Ryan & Stephanie Moeser will discuss the topic of consent and healthy boundaries in relationships. The focus will be on how to support the understanding of healthy, safe, and mutually satisfying intimate relationships (emotional and/or physical) for autistic people and their partners. The specific nuances and social communication styles of autism will guide the discussion. The workshop recognizes the needs of all individuals including those in the LGBTQ community.

You will learn:
How autistic individuals may participate in both intimate and emotional relationships  How to discuss strategies that enhance understanding of boundaries
How social, communication and sensory implications may impact intimate relationships and the strategies that may enhance psychologically and personal safety and sexual enjoyment

This presentation is ideal for anyone but will be of particular interest to those who support individuals who are on the Autism Spectrum. We encourage Parents, Caregivers, Friends and Family Members of this population. The presentation is also of interest to Individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
