The AutoShow’s theme will be The New Movement: exploring the evolution of the automobile driven by personalization, mobility and rapid advancements in new infrastructure and technology.  As more manufacturers embrace electrification, and autonomous technologies continue their rapid deployment, the AutoShow will excite and educate consumers on what lies ahead.

The AutoShow will have a special emphasis on the new evolutionary technologies shaping the automotive industry, but will also continue and expand its most popular feature focus displays showcasing over 1,000 vehicles throughout the 650,000 square feet of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre during the 10 days of the AutoShow.

A record attendance of 340,000 celebrated 150 years of Canadian auto making at the 2017 show and AutoShow General Manager Jason Campbell thinks the technological revolution facing the auto industry will attract even more people in 2018.

“It’s almost daily that manufacturers are further embracing the new technologies shaping our industry, whether it’s a commitment to hybrid power, electric, hydrogen fuel-cell or autonomous innovations,” said Campbell. “Consumers are hungry to hear more about these new developments, and there’s no better place than the AutoShow to learn from the experts.”

As well, he said, there will be symposiums and discussions about ride-sharing programs and how technology is transforming how society interacts with automobiles.

“The automotive world is changing,” Campbell said, “and the 2018 AutoShow will reflect this.”

The Canadian International AutoShow is Canada’s largest consumer show and has a larger promotional and media footprint than all other auto shows in Canada combined. And what sets the Toronto show even further apart from the others is the large number of special presentations that both inform and entertain.
Among them:

– Auto Exotica:  Ferraris, Lamborghinis, McLarens, Bugattis, Aston and other magical marques will again form the basis of the most exotic and valuable collection of cars showcased anywhere in the country.  A record $100m worth of exotics were on display in 2017 and 2018 is set to top that tally with additionalaspirational brands slated to join the Show.

– Tuners: Tuner Battlegrounds, edition, will see the most elite, tricked out, slammed to the ground and modified cars ever seen at the AutoShow.  This online bracket-style fan-voted competition, will be created and hosted by PASMAG giving Canada’s top Tuner enthusiasts a chance to show their stuff at the biggest automotive showcase in the country.

– Art and the Automobile: The ever-popular Art & the Automobile exhibit presented by the Cobble Beach Concours d’Elegance will for its fourth edition feature rare cars seldom seen anywhere, , with a focus on the brands and mascots that made the classics the icons they are today.
