54-40 new album Keep On Walking on the Vinyl Version

Today on the vinyl Version we drop the needle on a great Canadian band that’s been around for over 3 and a half decades

The group was formed in 1981 as a trio They made their recording debut that same year, In 1983, a second guitar was added to the group.

The band’s self-titled second album, began to attract attention in Canada, with the single “Baby Ran” getting tons of play on college radio. More hits followed with the hits “One Day in Your Life” and “One Gun”.

Although the band was popular on college radio in the United States, they never had a commercial breakthrough however The band’s song “I Go Blind” was covered by the band Hootie & the Blowfish, and it was featured on the soundtrack to the TV show Friends. The royalties from the Hootie and the Blowfish cover enabled the band to build their own recording studio in Vancouver.

37 years and counting 54-40 is still cranking out the hits, off the new album Keep On Walking it’s “Sucker for Your Love”
