"Batman" Came out 30 Years Ago Today

Today is the 30th anniversary of the release of “Batman” – the one starring Michael Keaton as Batman and Jack Nicholson as the Joker. Coincidentally, today is the 30th anniversary of the day my life changed forever.

I’ve always been a Batman fan, in case you hadn’t noticed. I read the comics as a kid growing up, had the toys, shirts, and even a cape. So when this version of Batman came out, I was beyond excited, and wasn’t disappointed. In fact, I still say Michael Keaton is the best Batman.

There’s been a lot of ‘ups’, and perhaps more ‘downs’ since that movie came out. But one thing is for certain, no version will come close to the (kind of) original (I know “Batman: The Movie” starring the late, great, Adam West came out in 1966, but let’s be honest here; Is that REALLY a true Batman movie, or a comedy?)

Let me know what you think. Which is your favorite Batman movie? I’d even accept Adam West’s version.
