An early, unreleased Tragically Hip song has resurfaced thanks to Gord Sinclair (bass player for The Hip)
The song is called “Get Back Again” It’s a track written by the Tragically Hip in the late ’80s. It never actually made it onto any of the Hip’s albums, but was performed live while on tour for 1989’s Up to Here album.
The song features Peterborough musician James McKenty. James and his band “The Spades” toured Canada for 10 years. During that time they met The Hip’s Gord Sinclair who ended up producing their albums.
This song also features John Angus MacDonald and Colin MacDonald from The Trews.
Proceeds from the single will go to the Kingston Food Bank and Unison Benevolent Fund. You can listen to the track below.
