David Lee Roth Announces Retirement and Drops a New Track

Yesterday (October 6) marked one year since Eddie Van Halen passed away; David Lee Roth stated that he thought he’d be the first one in Van Halen to go, but that wasn’t the case, so he has decided to retire at the age of 67 (he turns 67 this Sunday, October 10, 2021). Diamond Dave cited his age and the routine of being on the road as part of his reasoning for hanging up his shoes. Dave has 5 shows lined up starting at the end of the year in Las Vegas, the last show will be on January 8, 2022, and then it will be on to other non-music projects. Speaking of other non-music related projects, David Lee Roth is an artist how releases his work in the form of comic books; one of those comic books included a soundtrack that David record some time back, and he just released one of those tracks called Lo-Rez Sunset to a wider audience; you can check it out below.
