Eddie Van Halen’s son Wolfgang Van Halen is fighting to step out of his Dad’s shadow. Wolfgang is one hell of a musician / singer. He released his debut album under the name Mammoth WVH where he played all of the instruments and sang on the album.
He put a band together and they hit the road. Unfortunately some Van Halen fans have been trolling him on social media saying he’s riding on the fame of his last name and others are insisting that he play Van Halen tunes at the shows. I personally don’t blame him for sticking to his guns. His stance is that he won’t play any of his Dad’s tunes in concert. It’s not that he doesn’t love those songs, it’s the fact that he is doing his own thing…making his own mark.
As his time on the road continues he recently shared the stage with Guns N’ Roses for “Paradise City” in Florida. Wolfgang’s Mammoth WVH opened the show and he joined GnR at the end of their set
