30 Days of Kindness Challenge – HUI

From November 1st – 30th 2021, Heads Up for Inclusion (HUI) will be hosting a 30 Days of Kindness Challenge Fundraiser to support their Amigos programs, and in celebration of World Kindness Day on November 13th, and Giving Tuesday – an annual day of global generosity, occurring on November 30th, 2021.

After a challenging a year and a half for many, HUI wants to remind others how powerful a simple act of kindness can be.

Over the course of the 30 days HUI is challenging residents of Peterborough/Nogojiwanong and supporters to purposefully take an action every day to spread kindness.

This will all be done while challenging others to participate and/or to help HUI reach its fundraising goal of $3000 to support the Amigos Programs.

HUI is providing a list of 30 acts of kindness for adults and children that participants can use as a guide or for inspiration, that will be available across their social media accounts.

Founded in 2001, Heads Up for Inclusion uses the power of relationships to create positive and lasting change both in the lives of youth facing barriers to inclusion, peer mentors and in their communities. Research shows that friendships make an important contribution to a person’s health and happiness, and that inviting people with disabilities ‘in’ strengthens our community.

To date, thousands of youth in Peterborough/Nogojiwanong City and County have benefitted from the development of meaningful relationships with their peers, leading to increased social inclusion.
