Following a successful refresh of the event format last year, the cocktail-style fundraiser will take place on Saturday March 2 at ARIA. Members of the local Filipino community will put together an authentic menu for the reception. The Northumberland Multicultural Dance Troupe, headed by Thelma Dillon, will present a variety of folk dances hailing from various parts of the Philippines. Round off the night with the dynamic five-piece band EZRock, a regular at the popular Bistro Manila in Toronto.
Ed Kloosterman and Valerie Anderson have been working closely with the event team to plan and promote the event. “We believe that the New Canadians Centre has been a catalyst for bringing people and community partners towards a common goal – building a community where everyone feels at home. It has been our experience that the NCC always throws a great party that you do not want to miss”.
