Registration is now open for the 14th annual Juke Box Mania fundraising event. As of today, community members can sign up with a team of eight to compete in a fun ‘Name That Tune’ competition on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 6:30 p.m. at the Peterborough Memorial Centre.
Since 2015, Juke Box Mania has raised over $110 000 to support the four main services that CCRC provides including the Housing Resource Centre, Credit Counselling Services, Professional Counselling and the Community Service Order program. This year’s Juke Box Mania goal is $40,000.
To help reach their goal, CCRC has announced this year’s ‘Juke Box Heroes’ teams:
- In Rare Company: Brad Watt & Katie Watt (Juke Box Mania 2019 Honourary Chairs)
- ED Squared: Casey Ready (CCRC Executive Director) & Kirsten Armbrust (Incoming CCRC Executive Director)
- Board Stiffs: Tanys Howell & Patricia Donnelly (CCRC Board Directors)
- Fresh Air: Pete Dalliday & Dani Guppy (Fresh Radio)
CCRC’s ‘Juke Box Heroes’ will compete against the other teams to raise the most money for CCRC before Juke Box Mania on Friday, April 26th.
Casey Ready, Executive Director of CCRC and past Juke Box Hero highlights why the Heroes program is important. “Juke Box Heroes helps CCRC reach our fundraising goal for Juke Box Mania by reaching an audience that may not otherwise hear about CCRC. This is peer-to-peer program allows Juke Box Heroes to reach out to their networks for support and to share an important story that has personal significance to them. It is a fun competition for the Heroes teams as we all compete against each other to raise the most money for CCRC.”
CCRC also announced the launch of corporate table sales. Local businesses can purchase sponsorship tables at Juke Box Mania starting at $1000. Businesses purchasing corporate tables will receive VIP status and profile at this traditionally sold-out event of over 450 people.
Juke Box Mania will take place on Friday, April 26th starting at 6:30 p.m. The event will feature 10 rounds of Juke Box Mania’s “Name That Tune” game, a silent auction, and appetizers from local caterers including Amusé Coffee Co., Black Honey, Chasing the Cheese, EC Catering, Kenner Collegiate’s Culinary Program, La Hacienda, NaKeD Chocolate, Primal Cuts, Rare Grill House, and Shafiq’s Taste of India and Silk Roots Fusion Cuisine.
CCRC encourages those wishing to register a Corporate Sponsor Table (starting at $1,000) or Community Table ($560) to act quickly, as tables traditionally sell fast. If you are not able to attend Juke Box Mania, CCRC encourages local businesses to donate a silent auction item, and community members to support a Juke Box Heroes team.
