This tour is more than a look back, it’s a full throttle return of the Detroit blues meets rock meets Kingston ghetto sound that set Big Sugar apart in the 90s. Born from personal turmoil, creative pressure, and pure musical grit, HEMI-VISION became a cultural spark that burned bright across Canada’s rock scene.

 

Powered today by passion, laughter, and deep musical camaraderie, Big Sugar’s live show continues to deliver that unmistakable wall of sound: throbbing bass lines, arena-rock drums, and Gordie Johnson’s signature guitar tone, reminding us just how satisfying a great rock show can be.

 

Joining Gordie Johnson on stage are bassist Anders Drerup and drummer Root Valach, whose tight musical chemistry was forged during the band’s wildly successful 500 POUNDS tour. With blues and reggae woven through layers of guitar and vocal harmonies that evoke Jamaica, Motown, and even an East Coast kitchen party, the Big Sugar sound remains timeless.
